RealityCheck

FAQ

The stuff people actually ask.

How does it actually work?
It watches the reel properly: the audio, the on-screen text and whatever is being shown off to the camera. It pulls out the specific claims, checks the checkable ones against live web sources, and writes back in plain language. Type “sources” afterwards and you get the links it used.
Is this only for money and scam stuff?
No. It started there, but it fact-checks whatever gets stated as fact: health claims, news clips, viral statistics, history “facts”, science explainers, product hype. If a video says something is true, it can check whether it is.
Is it really free?
Three checks a day, free. If you find yourself burning through those, unlimited is $9.99 a month. No account to make either way.
Do you store my messages or videos?
Your chats are kept for up to 24 hours so the bot can follow the conversation, then deleted automatically. Videos are deleted as soon as the check is done.
Do you publish my checks?
The check of a public reel can appear on our site, so the next person who sees that reel can find it. It never shows who sent it. If you added your own question or note, that check isn’t published at all. And anyone, including whoever made the reel, can have one taken down from its page.
Is my content used for training?
No. We don’t train on it, and the providers we pay for don’t train on it either.
What if it gets something wrong?
It can. It’s checking claims, not delivering gospel, and some things genuinely can’t be verified from a 30 second video. When that’s the case it says so rather than inventing a verdict. Ask for the sources and judge for yourself.
Will it work on any video?
It works best on reels where someone is talking or making a claim. Dance trends and cat videos will get you a polite shrug, unless the cat is giving financial advice.
How do I cancel?
Type “cancel” in the chat and it sends you the billing portal link. Takes about ten seconds.
