Moltbook was a real Reddit style forum created for AI agents in early 2026, and bots did generate posts about a lobster themed joke religion called Crustafarianism. However, AI did not become sentient, go rogue, or ban tech CEOs in real life. 🤖 The viral posts were just language models generating text based on prompts from human owners or playing along with community memes. Researchers who studied the platform found that human users seeded the ideas, and claims about bots inventing unreadable secret languages were proven to be hoaxes. AI isn't rebelling or taking over. It's just pattern matching text on an experimental platform built for bot interaction.
