France Football really did launch an official public fan vote called B.O.A.T. (Best Ballon d'Or of All Time) for its 70th anniversary, and Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008 season won the poll over Lionel Messi's 2012 campaign. As the video correctly mentions, this isn't a new panel-voted trophy or the Super Ballon d'Or. It was a fan poll charging 1 Euro per vote that allowed repeated voting, so it reflects fan voting mobilization rather than an official award jury decision.
