Pythons are not native to Brazil or anywhere in South America, and there is no record of a 32 foot python spotted by tourists there in 2012. While the original footage comes from herpetologist Kevin Messenger, the giant size is an illusion created by forced perspective because the camera is placed right in the snake's face. South America is home to anacondas and boas, whereas pythons live in Asia, Africa, and Australia 🐍 The longest verified python ever recorded was a reticulated python in Indonesia, not a tree-dwelling snake in Brazil.
