MISLEADING

Kids content on YouTube earns nowhere near the numbers shown here, especially using mass-generated AI.

Because of COPPA privacy laws, YouTube cannot serve personalized ads on content flagged as Made for Kids. That drops typical creator earnings (RPM) down to roughly $0.10 to $0.35 per 1,000 views on longform, while YouTube Shorts pay a tiny fraction of that. YouTube also routinely demonetizes mass-produced AI videos under its repetitive content rules unless you add substantial human editing and original narrative.
