Checked reel · 27 Sept 2026
The creator in the video is completely right. That second moon is just internal lens reflection or ghosting, which happens when intense light bounces off internal lens elements or a protective glass lens cover in dark settings. Because the moon is extremely bright against a dark sky, smartphone cameras often create a second, dimmer phantom image on screen. He proves it right in the clip by holding up a second phone that shows only the single real moon.
