Kylian Mbappé never said he wants to "repay Portugal" or punish them for how they treated Cristiano Ronaldo. When asked about Ronaldo before France played Portugal at Euro 2024, Mbappé called him a unique legend and an idol who inspired an entire generation. He mentioned that they stay in contact and that Ronaldo gives him advice, but simply hoped France would win to reach the semi-finals. Social media pages post fabricated quote graphics like this all the time to bait fan arguments and farm engagement.
