The von Neumann memory bottleneck in traditional hardware is a real issue for AI, but quantum computing is not the solution for running large language models. Quantum processors do not perform dense LLM matrix multiplications instantly or replace AI GPUs. Loading billions of parameters into a quantum state requires scalable quantum memory (QRAM) that does not exist today. Quantum computers excel at specialized tasks like molecular simulation and combinatorial optimization, not running text models. Promoting quantum stock ETFs as an immediate play on solving AI hardware limits overpromises what current quantum tech can do.
